President Javier Milei stated that the head of the Revenue and Customs Control Agency (ARCA), Andrés Vázquez, is the "person who knows the most" about taxes.
"He is the person who knows the most about the tax structure in Argentina. The problem, if any, is whether he has a conviction or not," Milei said.
Vázquez is being investigated for alleged omissions in his sworn statements, linked to three undeclared properties in the United States.
"This is valuable human capital that is difficult to replace," the national leader highlighted in statements to LN, as reported by the Argentine News Agency (NA).
When asked about the legal cases against the head of the agency, Milei said:
"Anyone in politics can have open cases."
